Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. Her acting career began as a supporting actress in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). She then played reporter Willa McPherson on the FX series Dirt and had a supporting role in the short-lived drama The Ex List. She was Kaylee, a young Moira on the opening season of on FX's American Horror Story. She was Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She is a voice actor on Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since 2019, she has starred as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge lived in Darien, Connecticut, until when she was 10 when her mother and she moved to California,[1] where they went through a few different places before they settled in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was interested in acting, photography, and singing at age 13. At the age of 15, she and her mother moved back to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.
