Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef, television presenter in the US and a teacher at Institute of Culinary Education. Anne W. Burrell is the host on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for Food Network. Food Network, as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her trademark spiky blond tresses and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, provides simple and easy to master techniques for home cooks. Chef Burrell is also a part of some of the top eateries within New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy and competed in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. While growing up in New York's Upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. Following her graduation with an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the restaurant business by enrolling as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America is a wonderful experience. Culinary Institute of America was a great opportunity to pursue a degree. Following graduation at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and Chef Burrell took a full year in Italy doing research and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. In Italy she developed an appreciation for and appreciation for Italian culinary traditions. This had an enormous impact on how she views food. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that aims to make a difference in children's lives who are facing difficulties. Burrell is also a Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador which promotes education about the condition known as juvenile diabetes. Burrell speaks on her culinary love and imparts her expertise in the culinary world as she frequently is in the United States for various roles such as speakers and mentors. Anne has always been grateful she had the opportunity to share her love that she had for and her passion for cooking, with people around the world.
