Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the UFC's flyweight division. She is also the elder sister of the former UFC Flyweight champion and the fellow UFC athlete Valentina. Antonina knocked out Nievera using her impressive striking ability in the final clinch with knees placed on her body. Antonina Shevchenko received the UFC contract after the victory. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Strikes Finale in the fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight, after prevailing in the initial bout by a unanimous decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from her loss and beat Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. The bout earned Antonina the Fight of the Night bonus. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner during her subsequent three bouts she lost to Ariane Lipski before losing to Katlyn Chookagian as well as Andrea Lee.
